Comments : Penpoints can grow quite large, for a gunnel. I often see penpoint gunnels over a foot long at Three Tree Point. My observations are that they are the largest gunnel in Puget Sound. When approached by a diver at night, they often act intoxicated, not really knowing what to do. If they get spooked enough they will dart for cover.
