Comments : This is how we often find Tube Snouts at night at Three Tree Point - hiding in small schools in the eel-grass maintaining a very low profile. These abundant fish vary in size (from about 5 -7 inches) and thickness. Some sport a very intricate pattern across their back. We seldom encounter Tube Snouts outside of eel-grass beds.
