Comments : This is truly an amazing looking fish. Similar in shape to a Kelp Greenling, the bright coloration of this fish really makes it stand out. In addition to the bright red, yellow, orange, and blue markings on the body, the inside of its mouth is also bright blue. Unlike a Kelp Greenling, this fish is very approachable and was not intimidated by my approach. This is the only Rock Greenling I have ever seen (in 200+ cold water dives). I found this specimen in 10 fsw at the end of my dive on Buttertart Reef, which has to be one my favorite dive locations in the world. I was very lucky to have one exposure left in my camera.
