Comments : Up close and personal with a Hermit Crab. Seahurst lays claim to some large Hermit Crabs. Usually when approached, hermits either scurry off or retreat into their shell. To get a shot of a hermit this close, you have to be very patient. These are one of the largest and most common of the Hermit Crabs in Puget Sound, and often inhabit Moon Snail shells, as this one does.
