Comments : At first I thought this was a Red Irish Lord, however, something about this fish struck me as odd. It had protruding flaps over the nostrils and over the eyes, and the color marbling did not line up quite right with that of an Irish Lord. After some research, I think I have this fish properly identified as a small but brilliantly colored Cabezon. I found it in about 15 feet of water, lying on the silty bottom just outside of an eel grass bed.
