Graceful Crab
(Cancer gracilis)

image of a Graceful Crab

Image ID: 111-01

Comments : Graceful crabs are very similar in appearance to the famed (and delicious!) Dungeness Crab. However, the Graceful Crab doesn't grow anywhere near as big as the Dungeness Crab, usually not growing larger than about 5 inches. Appearance wise, the smooth pinchers and white outline around the perimeter of the shell distinguish this specimen as a Graceful Crab instead of a small Dungeness Crab.
