Comments : Finding the deep water Six Gill Shark in divable waters is ALWAYS makes the highlight list of the year. We found this shark (or rather it found us) in 80 fsw, at dusk. This is a juvenile version, with adults reaching over 15 feet in length. Not much is known about these sharks. There was never been a reported shark attack by a Six Gill Shark, but they are also not encountered often by divers. Six Gills should always be treated with the utmost respect.
