Comments : A photo of a beautiful, 4 foot long juvenile Six Gill Shark that graced us with it's presence off of Three Tree Point. Some of my dive friends have spotted five Six Gills at Three Tree Point this year (and it is not even mid-July yet), some as big as 11 feet long. Six Gill Sharks tend to stray into shallower depths at dusk during Summer months, presumably to feed. Rare encounters like this (this is only my second sighting) are to be treasured. Also add to the equation the fact that that visibility was freakishly good (40 feet), and this particular encounter could be a once in a life time opportunity.
